Building high quality backlinks for free with Featured.com can be done in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Create an account

To get started, head over to Featured.com and click the sign up button on the top right. Simply enter your first name, last name, email address and password to create your account.

Step 2: Add your profile

Once you’ve created your account you need to add a profile. Click Admin in the left menu and then Profiles. Next click Add New Profile and add your first name, last name, LinkedIn profile link, job title, company name and company website.

There doesn’t appear to be a limit to the number of free profiles you can create. I’ve been able to verify multiple profiles for different brands using the same LinkedIn profile. I recommend creating one for each brand you intend to build backlinks for. For Pro and Business accounts, each profile requires a “seat” at an additional charge.

Step 3: Submit your answer

Now for the fun part – going through questions from publisher and submitting your first answer. Start by clicking Experts in the left menu and then Questions. From here you can see available questions from publishers and the status of your submissions. Start by searching through available questions and finding one that is relevant to your brand. If don’t see any relevant questions, check back as they are updated often.

Next, begin preparing your submission. There’s a 2,500 character maximum, but otherwise there aren’t any other requirements for your answer. Just provide an honest, thoughtful answer that provides helpful advice based on your expertise and experience.
